Opportunities

Volunteer with us!
Get your hands in the soil by harvesting, pruning, mulching, and weeding while hanging out on our beautiful certified organic, permaculture inspired farm.

Here are the ways that people can volunteer here at Gateway Farm.

  1. Seasonal Saturday Monthly Volunteer Days. These are organized around seasonal tasks such as Spring Planting, Hoop House Care, Food Forest Maintenance, Garlic Harvest and will be announced in plenty of time. These will generally be Saturday mornings.

  2. Experienced farmer/gardeners may volunteer at other scheduled times

  3. If you have a group or organization looking for volunteering events

  4. Farm Pre-Apprentice internship - a month long volunteer intensive - more information about this can be found here.

All volunteers need to be registered. We will supervise and supply tools. When possible Farmer Food will be available for volunteers to take home.

Our first volunteer day will be April 26th from 8am -11a.

Come for the whole time or drop in anytime between during our designated hours.

Another way to volunteer with us is through the WWOOF Program. ‘WWOOF’ stands for Worldwide Opportunities on Organic Farms— this program facilitates exchanges between organic farms and ecologically-driven students, young professionals and those eager to learn how to grow food sustainably.
